AboutMe
LisaOtto.com is a culmination of my years of experience in the medical field, as a business owner, and prolific writer. Not only do I provide writing services, but I offer insight into business issues, help you take a look at what is working with your business content and what is not, and help you facilitate growth and the ability to reach your goals.

I'm taking an approach that is a little bit functional and traditional, so you can find the information about me that is most important to you, easily. Education & Certifications:
I hold an Associate of Science Degree Medical Assisting with 14 years of clinical experience. As well, I am a Certified and Nationally Registered (NREMT) Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate with 10 years in the field. I am also a CPR instructor, and CAPPA trained Childbirth Educator and Lactation Consultant.
My college coursework, as well as non-traditional education, includes several courses in creative writing, journalism and literature.
Business Experience:
I have created, and sold, two businesses from start-up to sale. As a former designer of children's clothing and accessories, I created a successful line of horse-themed clothing for girls and backpack charms. I learned the ins and outs of grassroots marketing and working on a solo-budget. My second business involved retail marketing, in which I became proficient in the workings of marketing woman-owned business.
Expert Topics:
I have been providing copywriting and website writing services for clients since 2006. In tandem with my own business, I operated a small copywriting service for independent clients, writing copy that is market-focused, optimized for the web and relevant. I have studied the work of several highly successful copywriters, while educating myself on the most up-to-date techniques and theories behind potent website copywriting. I follow recommendations of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc) for writing optimized web copy.
In addition to creating copy and content for small business, I am a passionate community health advocate and medical professional who enjoys writing about health, medical and wellness topics. I have been published both online and in print, and always enjoy additional work in the medical realm.
Personal:
When I'm not busy working, you'll find me spending lots of time with my family. I'm the mom of three incredible children, Jared (10), Hannah (6) and Andie Elizabeth (4). We stay perfectly busy with sporting events, school activities, community involvement and our favorite thing ever: camping!
My husband Matt is also an entrepreneur with a successful rural construction business. Together, we have a wonderful mixture of being home for our kids and enjoying our businesses.
We live in beautiful northcentral Wisconsin.
